Curse the world for making girls feel like we have to constantly compare ourselves to the others around us.
Curse the world for making girls feel like everyone else around us better because we think they are prettier, funnier, smarter, more outgoing, nicer, skinnier, and taller.
Curse the world for making eye color, hair length, and weight matter more than charity, kindness, and a good personality.
Curse the world for making girls feel like we will never be good enough and that if we dont change who we are, that no boy will every look our way and no girl will want to be out friend.
Self esteem is a daily struggle. If we do not constantly work against it, it is working against us.
to wish you were someone else is to waste the person you are.. why cant we look past our own imperfections?
So thank you Dove, for realizing that the world has created an impossible image for girls to live up to and doing something about it.
